TANGJIN is a professional Tencel quilt manufacturer and wholesale supplier in China, producing lyocell comforters, Tencel cooling duvets and full Tencel bedding sets for importers, eco-retail brands, premium hotels and e-commerce. Our standard platform — 100% Tencel™ lyocell shell with a 200–250gsm lyocell or lyocell-blend fill — delivers the smooth, breathable, moisture-managing performance that today's sustainability-minded buyers ask for, with MOQ from 800 pieces per design.

Every Tencel quilt we make uses botanic fiber from responsibly managed eucalyptus forests, processed in a closed-loop system that recovers and reuses over 99% of the solvent and water. The result is a naturally hypoallergenic, temperature-regulating and silk-drapey product that outperforms cotton on moisture control and beats polyester on sustainability — all available through our full OEM/ODM service with custom sizing (US/EU/AU), GSM, quilting and private-label packaging.

How to Choose a Tencel Quilt: Buyer's Guide

Key specifications importers and private-label brands should confirm before ordering.

100% Tencel vs. Tencel-Blend Fill

For a true premium claim, specify 100% Tencel™ lyocell shell and fill. More cost-effective programs use a Tencel-shell + lyocell/polyester-blend fill (e.g. 30% Tencel / 70% polyester) that keeps the smooth hand while controlling price. Confirm the exact blend ratio with your supplier.

Fill GSM & Seasonality

Tencel quilts run lighter than down. 150–200gsm for summer / hot climates, 200–250gsm for all-season (our standard spec), 300gsm+ for cooler markets. Because lyocell manages moisture rather than trapping heat, even a 250gsm Tencel duvet feels cooler than a polyester one of the same weight.

Shell Fabric: Lyocell, Modal & TC

Tencel™ lyocell gives the smoothest, most breathable surface; Tencel™ modal adds extra softness for next-to-skin use; typical shell counts are 250–300TC. Match shams and sheets from the same fabric lot to avoid shade variation across a bedding set.

Construction: Quilting, Corner Ties & Envelope Closure

Box or channel quilting holds the fill evenly; duvet covers use envelope closure + 4 corner ties so the insert stays put; piped edges add a premium finish. For inserts, 4-corner loops let end-users anchor inside any cover.

Packaging & the "Tencel" Trademark

Packaging options: vacuum roll pack (saves freight volume), PVC handle bag or color box with insert card. Important: "Tencel" is a registered trademark of Lenzing AG. Only use "100% TENCEL" claims when the fiber is genuine Lenzing lyocell; otherwise label it "lyocell (Tencel™-type)" to stay compliant.

Tencel Quilt FAQ

What is Tencel lyocell?

Tencel is the branded name for lyocell, a botanic fiber made from wood pulp (usually eucalyptus) using a closed-loop solvent process that recovers and reuses over 99% of the solvent and water. As a quilt shell or fill it is smooth, breathable and moisture-wicking, with a silk-like drape at a lower price.

Is a Tencel quilt good for hot sleepers?

Yes. Tencel lyocell absorbs up to 70% more moisture than cotton and releases it quickly, keeping the sleep surface dry and cool — one of the best natural options for hot sleepers and warm-climate markets (AU, SE Asia, Southern EU).

Tencel vs bamboo quilt — which should I choose?

Both are plant-based and eco-positioned. Tencel (lyocell) uses a closed-loop process with high solvent recovery and offers a smoother, more drapey, silk-like hand. Bamboo quilts are usually bamboo viscose, a more chemical-intensive process, with a softer-cottony feel. Choose Tencel for premium smoothness and verified sustainability; bamboo for lower cost.

Is Tencel sustainable and eco-friendly?

When made as genuine lyocell, yes. Closed-loop production recycles 99%+ of solvent and water, the wood pulp comes from responsibly managed forests, and the fiber is biodegradable. TANGJIN uses OEKO-TEX certified Tencel blends; FSC/PEFC documentation is available on request.

How do you wash and care for a Tencel quilt?

Machine wash cold on gentle with mild detergent, avoid bleach, tumble dry low or line dry. Tencel resists pilling better than cotton when cared for correctly. For duvet covers, turn inside out before washing to protect the smooth surface.

What is your MOQ for wholesale Tencel quilts?

800 pieces per design, mixed sizes accepted. Full OEM/ODM covers shell-vs-fill ratio, GSM, quilting, set configuration, packaging and hang tags. Bulk lead time 25–35 days.
