The first step: first soak in cold water, and then scrub with warm water containing detergent.

Generally, the duvet is first soaked in cold water, and the duvet is fully moistened as much as possible, and then placed in 30 degrees Celsius water containing detergent or washing powder, soaked for a certain period of time, and then gently scrubbed with a soft brush. Under normal circumstances, it is advisable to put four or five tablespoons of washing powder in two basins of water. If it is too thick, it is not easy to remove all the washing liquid during washing. The white soap stains mentioned above will often appear on the fabric after drying. Greatly reduce its thermal performance.

Step 2: Pay attention to the detergent concentration, add vinegar to remove (dissolve).

Attention should also be paid to the detergent concentration. In order to avoid soap stains on the down jacket or duvet fabric, in addition to the proper control of the detergent concentration, two small tablespoons of vinegar can be added to the clean water after bleaching twice. And the washing liquid remaining in the down jacket or duvet. It should be noted that the water with vinegar must be warm water so that the washing liquid in the down jacket or duvet will be fully dissolved in the water.

Step 3: The soap stains remaining on the duvet can be removed with industrial alcohol.

If the down jacket or duvet has soap stains after washing, you can use clean cotton dipped in industrial alcohol to wipe repeatedly, and finally, wipe it with a hot towel to remove the soap stains. After proper cleaning, the down can be fluffed again. Of course, inferior down products may not recover fluffy and soft after washing, because its filling may not be down, but only flying silk, wool flakes, feathers, etc. These things will not be naturally fluffy.

Step 4: Do not wring out the duvet after washing, nor wash it often.

The duvet cannot be wrung out after washing. There is no difference between wringing it out and drying it with a washing machine, which has a fatal effect on the warmth of the duvet. There are also duvets that cannot be washed too frequently. Generally, you can wash them once every 1-2 years, and pay attention to keeping them clean after washing. The duvets can be maintained better if they are taken out on a sunny day.
